Hexagonal gabion mesh has higher tensile strength than ordinary mesh, and the diameter of the reinforcing wire is generally not less than the diameter of the side wire. When installed on a road surface, especially under high foundation loads, it can absorb and significantly reduce cracks caused by tensile stresses resulting from cracking or traffic movement.
Gabion boxes are manufactured using reinforced high-strength hexagonal mesh attached to the back of the box. The mesh penetrates the soil and serves as reinforcement for the box. Friction between the soil and the mesh increases the anti-slip force, making it an environmentally safe solution.
PVC-coated hexagonal mesh is woven from plastic-coated wire. It is used for making gabion boxes and can be directly fixed on slopes and in ditches to prevent soil erosion, mudslides, and rockfalls.
The raw wire of heavy-duty PVC-coated hexagonal mesh is covered with approximately 1 mm thick PVC plastic, offering technical advantages such as safety, flexibility, permeability, durability, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness.

Gabions are a type of wire mesh box. Gabions and geotextiles are commonly used together to reduce water velocity, prevent soil erosion, and retain soil particles. Flat gabions are mainly used in civil engineering, especially in the construction of drainage structures on roads.
Mattress gabions are typically made from heavy galvanized or PVC-coated wire for corrosion protection. We manufacture gabions using high-quality galvanizing with additional options: 0.5 mm PVC coating for hexagonal woven wire mesh gabions.
